We have launched a new podcast series exploring the role of mentoring across the built environment. Through conversations led by Frances Palmer, network volunteer, the series will consider how experiences as mentees have influenced career journeys, shaped professional development, and informed the way individuals now mentor and support others. The series will share practical insights, personal reflections and lessons learned, highlighting the value of mentoring in building confidence, capability and connection across the profession.

In this session, Dave Corbin, Chief Project Delivery Officer in Gleeds, reflects on his own journey through the built environment and shares how mentoring can support technical development, leadership growth and career progression. His reflections highlight the importance of seeking advice, remaining open to learning, and taking ownership of personal and professional development.
