This episode features Zaira Iudice, Associate Director in Project Management, who explores what makes mentoring relationships effective, purposeful and sustainable. Drawing on her own experiences as both a mentor and mentee, Zaira will discuss the importance of being intentional from the start, setting clear expectations, and recognising that mentoring needs evolve throughout a career, whether supporting chartership, career transitions, sector changes or leadership development.

The network have launched a new podcast series exploring the role of mentoring across the built environment. Through conversations led by Frances Palmer, network volunteer, the series will consider how experiences as mentees have influenced career journeys, shaped professional development, and informed the way individuals now mentor and support others. The series will share practical insights, personal reflections and lessons learned, highlighting the value of mentoring in building confidence, capability and connection across the profession.
